Hello,

I used to be a Project Manager for a software company and totally agree with your tips. In my book, take care of the people and the rest will follow. Also, lead by example.

Take care,

Viv

Hi Steve,

good list.

It almost seems as if the human/change management angle is the most important in any KM engagement - I know that people have been saying much the same about IA/BA/UXD for a long time :)

Cheers, Andrew

Hi Steve,

you are right, it should be about leadership. Some management ability is a good thing in a leader, but generally we need leaders more than we need managers.

Cheers, Andrew

Funny place, England. Tony Blair was saying a couple of months ago that government needed to be more transparent and that the public expected a lot more service out of their public service. JP Rangaswami probably has more real-world experience of this ideal, but it is notable that the prime minister said it first. Remarkable, really :)
